It’s known to include one of the most famous car chase scenes ever filmed - and it features, you guessed it, the Highland Green 1968 Ford Mustang GT fastback. Based on our research, that car sold for a record $3,740,000 at Mecum Auctions in Florida in 2020. Shop brand new Mustangs at Folsom Lake Ford in the Folsom Auto Mall.

The off-roading Hyundai “Beast” in the movie Uncharted is a modified Tucson with a tough-looking exterior, caged bumpers and upgraded tires, showing off its versatility and futuristic design. Uncharted is a movie adapted from a popular treasure-hunting video game; it stars Mark Wahlberg and Tom Holland. According to news sources, the designers only had two weeks to complete the design; luckily a lot of inspiration came directly from the video game. You can upgrade your own; check out the Tucson inventory at Folsom Lake Hyundai.
Everyone recognizes Bumblebee from the Transformers movies. He has always been an adorable yellow Chevrolet Camaro (who communicates through a mish-mash of radio broadcasts). In the 2007 movie, he starts out as a 1977 Camaro, but eventually transforms into a 2006 Camaro concept. His look is updated slightly in the 2009 sequel and then, in 2011, he upgrades to an SS trim and his color changes from yellow to amber. In ‘Age of Extinction’ in 2014, Bumblebee disguises himself as a 1967 Camaro before scanning a 2014 Camaro concept and upgrading again. In the most recent iteration of the franchise, Bumblebee (2018) he is again depicted as the 1977 Camaro and then as three different versions of a 5th generation (2010-2015) model. That’s a lot of Camaro. If you want your own, visit Folsom Chevy.
The Fast and the Furious franchise featured dozens of cars from several different manufacturers. While Dom preferred domestic muscle, Brian always ended up behind the wheel of a Japanese coupe. And the standout star of the second movie, 2 Fast 2 Furious, was Brian’s 1999 Nissan Skyline GT-R R34. It’s easily recognizable by its unique silver and blue color scheme, including blue striped hood and blue lines across the side panels. This Skyline was the 5th generation and was actually illegal in the US due to a change in safety standards just prior to its release. The GT-R came with a 276hp engine, going from 0-60 in just 4 seconds. While you can’t get a Skyline right now, Nissan does have some impressive sports cars in its lineup. Check them out at Future Nissan of Folsom.
Mel Gibson and Danny Glover race around in Lethal Weapon in Riggs' GMC R30 Crew Cab Pickup. In Lethal Weapon 2, his GMC Sierra 3500 Club Coupe Dually pulled down an entire house. Riggs drives it again in the third installment of the franchise. In the 4th movie, his GMC Sierra is no longer a dually, but it’s a 4WD for the first time. Check out all the tough trucks at Folsom Buick GMC.
Fast Times at Ridgemont High was an iconic coming-of-age movie of the 80s. This cult classic featured a light blue 1960 Buick LeSabre, Brad Hamilton’s calling card. The 1982 movie was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry for being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant”. So, the Buick legacy lives on! “1.21 Gigawatts?!” You probably recognize that exclamation - which means you’d probably recognize Marty McFly’s 1985 Toyota Hilux SR5 Xtra Cab - eventually replaced with the Tacoma in 1995. It was outfitted with tubular bumpers, a rollbar and bright yellow KC Daylighters lighting on the roof. For true Back to the Future nerds, the license plate on the Toyota truck reads: 2BAK860. Interested in your own Toyota truck? Shop Folsom Lake Toyota.
The movie Logan, which was the third and final installment of the Wolverine trilogy, follows an aging Wolverine and an ill Charles Xavier while they defend a young girl named Laura. In it, Logan is a limousine driver, so his vehicle is featured fairly heavily. In the movie, they call it a 2024 Chrysler E8, but in real life, it’s a custom-modified elongated version of a Chrysler 300. It maintains Chrysler’s style without being an actual current vehicle and was considered its own character in the film. Interested in your own Chrysler? Visit Folsom Lake Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram.
Speaking of Dodge, one of the most famous Dodge vehicles ever is the star of its own show and even has a recognizable name. Ever heard of the General Lee? The 1969 Dodge Charger is bright orange with a large number “01” painted on its side. It’s known for its police chases, huge jumps and the fact that its doors have been welded shut forcing the Duke boys to climb in and out through its windows. The Dukes of Hazzard was a TV show that ran from 1979 through 1985 on CBS starring Tom Wopat and John Scheider as Luke and Bo Duke along with their equally famous Dodge! You can get a brand-new Dodge Charger with a 5.7L V8 Hemi engine right now at Folsom Lake Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram.
You can also shop Folsom Lake Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram for a new or used Jeep Wrangler. You might even be able to find a 1993 Wrangler, made famous in Jurassic Park. Those were beige colored Wrangler YJs modified with the iconic red decals and park logo. These “staff vehicles” were all soft top Wranglers in the Sahara trim. The movie made these vehicles so famous, you might even see a Wrangler on the road today with a Jurassic Park decal on its door. Visit the dealership to see which Wranglers are in stock today!
And finally, we come to the Ram. In the 1995 movie, Twister, Bill Harding and Melissa Reeves follow Bill’s soon-to-be-ex-wife (Jo) in his brand-new cherry red 1995 Ram truck. It’s a Dodge Ram 2500 Laramie SLT with a V10 8.0L engine. It served them well throughout the movie and all the storm chasing, until finally, Jo and Bill drive directly at the tornado and jump out. In an extremely memorable scene, it was sacrificed, swept up into a huge twister. One could argue that the Ram was the star of the show.
